Last Day Wrap Up!

Well....today I didn't actually get to do much of anything. I submitted a press release and bookmarked a couple sites and submitted some feeds to directories.

So that's the end of the challenge for me!

This challenge was really amazing for me. The best part was actually doing something! Picking a niche, choosing some keywords, affiliate products & building tons of stuff just for one keyword, and then doing it again for another keyword. And to actually see results was awesome!

The only thing that would have made it better for me was to make 1 sale. That was my goal and unfortunately no one bought the affiliate products I was promoting but I learned tons about how to create content and see what Google likes and then to partner with Google and see my stuff get out there sometimes in a matter of hours.

Really appreciate everyone's help and for Howie and his team putting on this competition!

How to Make Videos & Submit them to 8 Video Sites- For Free!

Just wanted to show everyone how to make videos and submit them to a bunch of different sites for free. The only thing that might give you a little snag and cost like $19 is to get Jing Pro. I just can't remember if you can upload the video you take with Jing to different sites with the Free Jing. Maybe you can?

Had another busy day for work so didn't get to do all that I could have done.

Or course this is more than I would usually do so I guess it's a win/win!

Today I created another video using Google Docs as the powerpoint this time. Very Cool! Recorded it with Jing and submitted it to 8 different video sites using TubeMogul.com

Also checked the rankings for "Smart Goal Setting Method" and am ranked number 1,3,4,6,7,8,9 Not bad at all! It'd be nice to actually get an affiliate sale!

What Would Howie Say?

Oh yes...traffic doesn't matter, rankings don't matter, the only thing that counts in Chase Manhattan Bank (or whatever bank he uses)

Day #6 Wrap-Up

So...today was another tough marketing day.

I created a Vox site to build back links to a new Hubpage on the Smart Goal Setting Method

I was listening to Howie's call with Control your Rankings and she said you need to submit articles to the big 3 article directories: Ezine, Articlebase & goarticle. So I submitted an article to Articlebase & Goarticle. Still wating for Ezine to release an article.

Also submitted a couple rss feeds to directories.

Morning of Day#6

Woke up this morning. Did a press release

Then went to ping o matic and pinged the hub I created yesterday. Pinged the zimbio I created yesterday and pinged the vox article I created today.

Then I submitted the RSS feeds to RSS Directories.

And created a Vox page on the keyword "Smart Goal setting method"

Now I gotta go to work!

End of Day #5 Recap

So...today I had a tough time getting what I needed done. So I outsourced some link building, social bookmarking, rss directory submission....to my wife!

So today I used Market Samurai to find some places to link back to my hub. Added some links with my keyword phrase as the anchor text.

Then I used the Google Wonder Wheel and came up with a few more phrases to create hubs around.

Hubpages is definitely Google's fav right now so I will probably create a few more of those!

Day #4 Wrap Up

So today I worked on phase 2 of link building and content creation stuff.

Created an article at Zimbio.
Created a video and used TubeMogul.com to submit it to a bunch of different video sites.
Created a blog at wordpress.com and added 3 articles for the 3 different keyword phrases I had been targeting.
Submitted feed to RSS directories.

Phase 2 Starts Now!

So I just started working on Phase 2 of my traffic & link building strategy. Technically I have no idea what I'm doing but I've looked at what some other people are doing in the IMRemarkable competition and will do my best to follow them.

So I just created an article and a wikizine(?) over at Zimbio. I saw some other people were using this property so it's probably a good one to use.

Phase #2 Plan:

1. I plan on promoting the promoter sites by using other web 2.0 properties:
yedda.com
hotelchatter.com
naymz.com
wheresgeorge.com
letsgo.com

2. And I found out last night that RSS Feed directories are the bomb and Google loves them.

So...I will be posting probably all of my RSS feeds to as many RSS directories as I can.

3. Then I will make a video and submit it using Tube Mogul. I wish I had Traffic Geyser but I don't. So this site will do like 10 different video sites.

4. Then I will bookmark all these new properties using traffic bug.

That will be the end of phase 2.

Morning of Day #4 Google Check

Checked Google this morning for my keywords.

My main keyword has dropped to the 11th page or something like that.

But one of my other keywords is doing really well. In phrase match it is at #4 up one from yesterday. Then I took it out of phrase match to check and it is at #9!

Just checked one of my keywords in Google. I checked it on phrase match this time and was stoked to see it at #5!

Phase 1 Done! Woo Hoo

So I just finished Phase 1 of my Web 2.0 and Link Building Strategy. It's not so bad...7 Web 2.0 properties. An article and a few different plain graphics put up!

It's been good, really good, for me to actually do something! I spend so much time just learning that I don't do as much as I learn.

If I can continue doing this it will prove to be profitable! I'm sure of it.

Actually the photographer has some cool program that takes out all your blemishes. Anyways...that's a side note.

I got interested in Internet Marketing watching a video one night on YouTube.

I'm a full-time Christian Missionary and I travel all over the world like 6-8 months out of the year. It's a lot of fun but it costs money to do all that we do and we don't actually get paid to do it. We are technically volunteers in a non-profit....

But I love doing what I do. So I was looking for a way to bring in multiple streams of income. You know....another way to raise money so I can do what I love to do.

So I got started doing this internet thing and I've been doing it for a year now. I've probably spent way more than I've made but it's been fun learning.

Watched a video from Howie Schwartz and read his challenge at www.IMRemarkable.com

I couldn't sleep this morning so I decided I'm gonna go for it in this competition. It will be good for me to get off my butt and finally do something instead of just reading and watching all the things Howie gives us.
